US-Bangla Airlines hosted a reception in Bangkok to mark the inauguration of the airline’s flights to the Thai capital
: US-Bangla Air-lines, one of the leading private sector airlines of the country, started flights to Bangkok on May 3, with Dhaka-Bang-kok-promotional fare of Tk 20,000.
The fare includes all taxes and surcharges.
The 168-seat Boeing B737-800 aircraft, with eight Business Class seats, leaves Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Mondays, Wed-nesdays, Fridays and Satur-days at 9:40 am reaching Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 1:10pm. The return flight departs at 2:10 pm and reaches HSIA at 3:40 pm, all times local.
US-Bangla Airlines is now operating on all domestic routes and on international destinations of Kathmandu, Kolkata, Muscat, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangkok from HSIA and to Kolkata and Muscat from Hazrat Shah Amanat Interna-tional Airport, Chittagong.
Till date, the airline has operated about 20,000 flights, which is a record in the country's aviation history.
US-Bangla Airlines' fleet now consists of three Boeing B737-800s and three DASH8-Q400s and has plans to add two more Boeing B737-000s and one DASH8-Q400 within August this year. The airline hopes to start flights to Doha, Dammam, Riyadh, Chennai, New Delhi and Abu Dhabi within this year.
