: Thai Airways reported a net loss of THB3.1 billion (US$93 million) for the quarter, an improvement of 40.7 per cent from the same period last year.
One of the major reasons for the smaller deficit was a reduction in losses related to foreign exchange. The carrier lost THB431 million in this category, THB2 billion less than last year.
Overall revenue was up 4.6 per cent to THB47.2 billion, with passenger revenue rising 0.7 per cent and freight revenue increasing 13.9 per cent. The carrier gained about THB1.3 billion.
