DHAKA: Nepal Embassy in Bangladesh celebrated National Day of Nepal at its Chancery in Baridhara Diplomatic Enclave in Dhaka on September 20.
The reception was graced by Nepalese in their traditional look and the smells of delicious dishes turned the chancery festive for a few hours.
The National Day of Nepal is celebrated to commemorate the Promulgation of the Constitution by the Constitution Assembly on September 20, 2015.
Nepal is expecting Bangladesh’s investment in the sectors where Nepal holds comparative advantage. The sectors are hydropower, infrastructures, information-technology, tourism and manufacturing industries, Prof Chop Lal said.
Bangladesh’s rapid industrialisation and prosperity has become a role model for least developed and developing countries. Nepal is keenly observing it economic development, the Ambassador said.
At the reception Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed attended as chief guest and cut the celebration cake with Nepal Ambassador Prof. Dr. Chop Lal Bhusal.
Speaking at the celebration, Nepal Ambassador Prof Bhusal said Nepal and Bangladesh are very close and friendly neighbours.
Ambassadors, foreign diplomats and officials of Bangladesh Foreign Ministry were present on the occasion, among others.
