Rashed Khan Menon, Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, inaugurating 2nd Youth Tourism Fest 2017 at Rabindra Sarobar in the city
Dhaka : The Second Youth Tourism Fest 2017, organised by monthly Parjatan Bichi-tra in cooperation with Bangla-desh Tourism Board (BTB) and Bangladesh Parjatan Corpora-tion (BPC), was held in city on March 31 and April 1.
Held at Rabindra Sarobar in Dhanmondi, the Fest was held to associate the youths more closely with tourism.
The Fest started with a cycle procession from Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan which ended at at Rabindra Sarobar after going round various places of the city.
Thirty institutions and clubs participated at the fest highlighting camping, hiking, trekking, climbing, parasailing, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, cycling and other adventure gears.
Activities included tourism storytelling, adventure demonstration, training and adventure group presentation.
Rashed Khan Menon, Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, formally inaugurated the Fest on March 31. Present also were Golam Faruque, Secretary, Ministry of civil Aviation and Tourism, Dr Md Nasir Uddin, Chief Executive Officer, Bangladesh Tourism Board, Mt Everest conqueror MA Muhit, ornithologist Enamul Haque, tourism stakeholders and Mohiuddin Helal, Editor, Parjatan Bichitra and Founder President, Dhaka University Tourist Society.
