BTB, BPC organise training for 700 hospitality workers

: Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) and Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC), as part of Visit Bangladesh campaign, jointly organised training programme for unskilled or semi-skilled hospitality workers of eight administrative divisions of the country.
Held under the supervision of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, a total of 700 persons serving in government and private hospitality organisations were trained by expert trainers of National Hotel and Tourism Training Institute (NHTTI) from June 4 this year.
They received practical training on how to receiving guests, guest relations, taking care of guestrooms as well as how to prepare and serve food items and beverages.
Eighty-two of the trainees, from 13 districts across the country, formally received their certificates from Rashed Khan Menon, Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, at a function at Hotel Abakash in the city on July 20.
