Turkish Airlines cancels flights to and from Bangladesh

Dhaka: The flag carrier Turkish Airlines have cancelled all flights to and from Bangladesh till April 17 over concerns of the global coronavirus pandemic.

The airline’s Dhaka bound flight TK712 from Istanbul has been suspended till April 16 and the return flight TK713 to Istanbul till April 17.

The suspension follows the decision of Bangladesh government to suspend all international passenger flights, except Thailand and Hong Kong bound, from March 21 till March 31 to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Turkey has reported to have 947 total cases of coronavirus while the death toll stands at 21 so far.

On the other hand, Bangladesh on March 21 reported its second death from coronavirus and identification of four new patients, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 24.
