Dhaka: Turkish Airlines has suspended its flights on the Dhaka-Istanbul route till July 7, said the carrier in a statement.
Earlier, the airline announced to resume operations to and from Dhaka from July 3 with three weekly flights after receiving approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh.
However, the Civil Aviation Authority of Turkey has reconsidered the coronavirus situation. And to prevent the spread of the virus, the authority has passed new directives to suspend flights on the route this week, the airline said.
Therefore the flag carrier has cancelled the flight TK0713 which was supposed to depart Dhaka at 06:35 local time and land in Istanbul at 12:10 local time on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
TK further mentioned to reschedule the cancelled flights soon with priority basis.
