Emirates customers surpass one million Starlink Wi-Fi connections

Dubai: Emirates customers have made more than one million connections to the airline's complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi service since its introduction across the fleet seven months ago. Passengers have already used more than one petabyte of data, with many describing the onboard internet as "better than at home."
With more than 60 Starlink-equipped Emirates flights operating daily, passengers are using the high-speed service to stream content, join video calls, browse social media, play online games, and stay connected with family and colleagues throughout their journey.
The milestone highlights the rapid adoption of Emirates' next-generation connectivity service, now available on 33 Boeing 777s and three Airbus A380s, with installations continuing across the fleet every week.
Emirates has long been a pioneer in onboard connectivity, having introduced internet access on the Airbus A380 when inflight bandwidth was limited to less than 1 Mbps. Today, Starlink-equipped aircraft deliver more than 2 Gbps of combined bandwidth, enabling seamless, complimentary internet access for passengers in all cabin classes, including live video calls and high-definition streaming at 40,000 feet.
Following the successful rollout on the Boeing 777 fleet, Emirates has also introduced Starlink on the Airbus A380. Each A380 is equipped with three Starlink antennas designed to support its double-deck configuration and large passenger capacity, providing enhanced coverage and performance throughout the aircraft.
Emirates plans to further enhance the service by integrating Live TV streaming into its award-winning ice inflight entertainment system, expanding customers' onboard entertainment and connectivity experience.
